THE ORIGIN: Taming the Spark
It started with a need. It ended with a tribute.
We are children’s of the forest and a mans of craft. By day, we build structures with our hands; by night, we return to the woods to rebuild spirit. In both worlds, We learned one truth: tools must not fail.
In the wild, when the rain pours and the cold bites, the most critical tool is Fire. It is the heart of the camp, the ancient protector against the dark.

The Search for the Perfect Balance
Prometheus Survival Gear was not born in a sterile laboratory. It was born in the mud, in the wind, and in the freezing temperatures of the wild.
We spent months searching for the “Holy Grail” of fire starters. The market was full of compromises. Some products burned hot but vanished in seconds. Others lasted long but were impossible to ignite with a simple spark. Many were too hard to use with frozen fingers.
We needed something different. We needed a mixture that reconciled contradictions.
Our goal was simple, yet difficult to achieve:
The Texture: It had to be malleable – easy to squeeze out, even in the deep winter frost.
The Ignition: It had to catch the spark instantly, obeying the slightest strike of ferrocerium.
The Power: It had to burn not just with a flame, but with intensity – a relentless heat capable of drying wet wood.

The Alchemy of Fire
Countless nights were spent testing. Mixing. Failing. Trying again. We was looking for the perfect union of Matter and Energy.
Finally, the formula was perfected. Prometheus Paste.
It is a thick, concentrated energy source that defies the weather. It spreads where you need it, catches the first spark, and holds the flame long enough to turn a pile of damp twigs into a life-saving fire.

A Gift from the Titans
We named it Prometheus – after the Titan who defied the gods to bring fire to humanity. It is a symbol of knowledge, survival, and the indomitable human spirit.
But with the gift of fire comes a heavy responsibility.
At Fire of Roots, we believe we are children of the same Nature as the trees we walk among. We do not conquer the forest; we are guests in it.
